Pipeline Initiatives
Our pipeline programs
CUNY Med is committed to fostering inclusion and diversity.
The CUNY School of Medicine offers two pipeline programs, a one year program for high school sophomores, juniors and seniors (HPREP) and a two year program for rising high school juniors (HPMP).
We are proud to invest in the future generation of healthcare professionals by collaborating with local high schools to help inspire, prepare, and involve students from diverse backgrounds. We aspire to encourage these students to pursue a career in the field of medicine by providing mentorship and guidance to enrich their academic experiences.
HPREP
Health Professions Recruitment & Exposure Program (HPREP)
The HPREP Program at CUNY Med is a high school enrichment program designed to recruit high school students from the community, especially those from underserved and underrepresented neighborhoods, into science and medicine.
HPMP
Health Professions Mentorship Program (HPMP)
The HPMP Program is for rising high school juniors considering a career in the health field. Careers in medicine, such as nursing, physician assistant, occupational therapy, public health, and research are achievable with a college degree.
